ValueAppeal Introduces PRO Product

For the past three years, ValueAppeal has changed the property assessment appeal world, simplifying a confusing and intimidating process for the average homeowner. Along the way, we’ve helped clients save hundreds and thousands of dollars on their property tax bill. In 2011 our average client saved $1,346.

It would be easy to simply continue doing what we’ve been doing, but we want more. We want to continue improving. We want to help even more people. When people think of their property assessment, we want ValueAppeal to be the first thing they think about.

So while we will continue to work endlessly to improve the product we offer to the average homeowner, we are ready to do even more.

That’s why we’re introducing ValueAppeal PRO (www.valueappealpro.com).

Our new service is an innovative appeals and practice management platform designed to assist financial professionals, accountants, income tax preparers, financial planners and real estate agents  to easily add property tax appeal services to their existing business. “Pros” can then offer our powerful appeal service to both existing and prospective new clients.

Why offer this service now? To put it simply, the demand is there.

ValueAppeal is the national leader in helping homeowners appeal their assessments. Our success rate speaks for itself, and our reputation as a valuable ally to ensure all homeowners are being assessed fairly grows every day. We regularly receive inquiries from financial and real estate professionals who are interested in offering our service to their clients.

It made sense to us, so we set to work figuring out the best way to meet the interest. What we came up with is a service that no other company offers. So, yes, we’re pretty excited.

“While we will continue to improve ValueAppeal’s flagship product for consumers to ensure that they are not paying more than their fair share of property taxes, ValueAppeal PRO’s powerful suite of tools now enable tax preparers, CPAs, attorneys, appraisers, home inspectors, loan officers, real estate agents and others to accelerate their business by using our proven service to help their new and existing clients address property tax issues on a hyper-local level,” ValueAppeal CEO Charlie Walsh said.

ValueAppeal PRO will employ the same proven algorithm we use for our typical appeal service. But rather than using PRO for their personal appeal, finance and real estate professionals will be able to identify anyone within their operating area who might benefit from an assessment appeal, or can let clients know that they shouldn’t waste their time with an appeal that year.

“If a professional wants to quickly identify all the homes within 30 miles of their office that are overassesed and could save at least $3,000 on their property taxes, we can deliver that,” Walsh said. “ValueAppeal is literally the only company in the world with that capability because we’ve spent the last three years developing a unique patent-pending algorithm to do the needed analysis.”

There are basic and advanced “starter kits” for ValueAppeal PRO, offering everything that is needed to easily establish, market and manage a complete property tax appeal program for their clients.

ValueAppeal PRO has already impressed Randy Johnston, the executive vice president of K2 Enterprises, the largest provider of technology Continuing Professional Education programs for accountants in North America.

“ValueAppeal PRO is a game-changing product, especially by empowering accounting or real estate professionals to offer high-quality property tax appeals for their clients in radically less time than was previously required,” Johnston said. “For accountants and others who place a priority on providing quality documentation and client service, ValueAppeal PRO simultaneously saves time and provides the high levels of evidence and documentation needed to support successful appeals.”

ValueAppeal PRO users will have a wide range of services to offer, including:

Analyzing properties: In just a few seconds, they can tell existing and prospective clients if they are strong candidates to lower their property taxes, and can run analysis reports either by client list or individual property. Only 20-25-percent of homes in the United States are overassessed in any year, and by telling a property owner they aren’t overassessed, we are able to save them time and money while keeping frivolous appeals from reaching assessors offices.

Creating reports: When a client is determined to be overassessed, PRO users can build compelling appeal reports including the most relevant comparable home sale evidence in as little as five minutes for a client. The ValueAppeal system considers all local rules, regulations and appeal-window timeframes, wading through any details that could potentially trip up an individual homeowner.

Managing appeals: Once a client files an appeal, PROs can track the appeals with built-in workflow and activity management all in one easily-navigable location on ValueAppeal PRO’s Dashboard. This allows PROs to track appeal deadlines, hearing dates and any other important information, as well as file, manage and monitor appeals, create invoices, upload documents and other options.

Expanding their client base: By adding additional services, PROs can use ValueAppeal to find new leads by purchasing targeted lists of overassessed properties filtered by the estimated savings for each individual property.

Retaining existing clients: ValueAppeal saves homeowners substantial amounts of money, and by using PRO, financial and real estate professionals can provide a new service to existing clients, strengthening the relationship between professional and client.

Clearly, this is an exciting development for ValueAppeal, and for the world of property tax assessment appeals. At our most basic level, ValueAppeal is working to ensure that no homeowner is unfairly taxed. By working with talented professionals who are excited to offer our service to their existing clients, more and more people will become aware that they do have control, that they can do something if they feel they are overtaxed, and no longer have to sit idly by while they pay more than their fair share.
